Overview

The work involved leading the design (UX & UI) for the Volvo Construction
Equipment customer portal. In short, it is a central web application were the users
can access all their services subscribed to in one place as well as administrate users in their org
(dependingon the user role). The goal was also to give our customers the same brand experience
in all touchpoints (no matter digital or physical), hence being cohesive and consistent
across our various portals for the companies business areas.


The Users

Since this project is not released yet, I can only share the holistic target groups:
Construction Contractors and Dealerships.


My Role

Except being the UX Design lead for the portal ( working in a multi-natonal scrum team), defining the problems based on user data, facilitating workshops, providing ideas and creating prototypes for demos, my work also involved supporting the team developing a design system for all our web applications. The purpose was to align this with our brand principles (which continuously evolved) across the many Volvo group applications. So the goal was to give our customers the same brand experience in all
digital touchpoints, hence being cohesive and consistent across our business areas. This in turn elevates a strong brand and loyal customers.
